Early Life and Background

Mark Leigh Bouris AM was born on November 30, 1956, in Punchbowl, New South Wales. He is of Greek descent on his father’s side and Irish-Australian on his mother’s side. Growing up in a culturally rich environment, he was instilled with strong values of discipline and hard work. Mark attended Benilde High School in Bankstown before pursuing higher education at the University of New South Wales, where he studied economics and law.
