Arnold Adoff
Poet and anthologist Arnold Adoff was born and educated in New York city. His belief is that, "writing a poem is making music with words and space." Mr. Adoff has been writing poetry and children's books for 30 years and has published more than 30 books. He worked in the New York city schools as a teacher and counselor for twelve years. His book "Sports Pages" was featured on Reading Rainbow. Arnold Adoff is an advocate for using literature in the classroom and travels regularly to read and lecture to teachers and students on writing and poetry. He currently lives in Ohio with his wife, Virginia Hamilton, an American author.
